Give this one some time to open up. Decant if you’re impatient. On the nose dense black fruit with a hint of forest floor. On the palate milder than you would expect from the aroma. But still black cherries and black raspberries with a hint this time of licorice. Pretty smooth tannins on the finish, nice, long, and attention grabbing. This one could probably sit for another couple of years and will improve. The RN Estate 2017 Cuvée des Trois Cépages is a winner. Sadly, only the 2018 vintage is available for sale.
